Key Responsibilities:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Blender to support the Supply Chain team to ensure the company's goals and initiatives are met.
This role will be responsible for activities such as blending beverages, documenting ingredients, handling raw materials, creating material usage reports, completing CIP for all blend tanks, sanitizing all tanks, operates weigh scales and unloads tankers; as well as operating/monitoring machinery used in the production process. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs activities such as blending beverages, documenting ingredients, handling raw materials, creating material usage reports, completing CIP for all blend tanks, sanitizing all tanks, operates weigh scales and unloads tankersOperates and monitors machinery used in the production processVerifies conformance to quality standards at all levels (raw, finished, ingredients, storage and transportation conditions)Performs autonomous maintenance activities such as preventative maintenance, lubrication, center lining, 5s and defect identification, sources of contamination, etc.Maintains good manufacturing practices, housekeeping standards and safety precautionsParticipate in periodical activities such as assisting with the cycle counts and physical inventoriesPerforms duties and responsibilities within the guidelines of plant's programs and initiatives (i.e.: SFTPM)All other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:
High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 1 year blending experienceExperience in mixing and fillersMinimum one year experience as a production labeler or filler operator, or equivalent technical experienceMinimum 1 year recent work experience in a manufacturing facility, food production preferredBatching experience is a plusKnowledge of basic math & problem solvingMust have basic computing skills to operate and interface with manufacturing softwareAbility to listen, understand, communicate written and verbal information and ideasAbility to operate equipment and machines in an industrial environmentAbility to perform work within established guidelines (i.e.: and in a safe mannerAbility to work independently and in teamsAbility to work any shift and overtimeAbility to lift a minimum of 50 poundsBasic knowledge of liquid transport systems such as valve matrix, pumps and pressurized vesselsForklift experienced or able to get certified
