Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Must have a Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of application Certifications: Basic Life Support (BCLS) Must-Have: - Ability and willingness to call and float as required.- Primary residence must be at least 50 miles away from the facility.- Must complete fingerprinting in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the start date. Job Description: - Looking for a Neuro RN to work 3x12 nights with every other weekend and rotating holidays.- Specialty care nursing, including care for postoperative patients, neurosurgery, and neurovascular interventions.- Provide post-op care for neurosurgery patients and neurovascular interventions.- Care for TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) patients in the post-care phase.- Manage long-term monitoring of EEG and care for spinal cord injury patients.- Travelers may need to float to other similar units, including surgical care, medical units, and inpatient rehab units.- Position is intended to fill scheduling gaps; blocked scheduling is not guaranteed.- Covid-19 vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions may be considered.- Completion of labs and fingerprinting within specified time limits is required.- Commitment to working holidays as needed is required.- A maximum of 7 days for requested time off.- Travelers must self-fund travel arrangements. - Orientation consists of 14 hours. Note: Local candidates are not accepted; must be away from permanent staff positions for 9 months before returning as a traveler.
