The Data Analyst II will:

Support the Medical Assistance Division (MAD) data needs with regards to state and federal reporting, performance measures, and data analysis.How does it get done?

The Data Analyst II is responsible for:

Creating and maintaining all internal/external ad hoc requests;Designing and developing dashboards and systems for reporting data;Using data visualization tools to share data in an easy-to-comprehend fashion;Training other staff on how to develop and present data reports;Who are the customers?

Internal and external stakeholders;Program subject matter experts and leadership.Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Candidate has:

Experience in data analysis and scripting/coding using one or more of the following: SQL, PowerBI, Snowflake, Sybase, etc.;Multiple coding language experience is preferred;Experience transforming datasets from multiple sources to fit prescribed file layouts;Proficient and comprehensive knowledge to collect, clean, maintain and analyze data from large and complex data sets and prepare data driven reports specific to divisional and agency needs;Ability to shift tasks quickly in order to fulfill changing priorities.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field with five (5) years of experience directly related to position at time of posting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience totaling nine (9) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain valid drivers license.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
