Description:

Shipping & Receiving Clerk will support the execution of the production schedule working closely with production and scheduling team. Performs the receipt of incoming goods and/or shipments of finished goods in compliance with established procedures. Provide administrative support and organization to the warehouse team.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a food production and warehouse setting. The facility is not mechanically temperature controlled and at times will require work in hot temperatures. The floor surface is concrete. The noise level is moderate with no vibration. Material movement takes place throughout the facility.

Maintain personal GMP and Food Safety compliance at all timesRoutine duties of checking in drivers, review Bill of Lading, verify trailer seals, schedule appointments, maintain shipping and/or receiving documentation, reconcile receipt information, and maintain daily reports.Ability to drive a forklift (preferred but not required)Prepares orders by processing shipments and sample orders; packing boxes; staging orders in delivery areaVerify that the goods are intact and report any defects.Scheduling of products and communication of dock servicesCompletes receipt and delivery of parcel packages to order requestor(s)Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Communicate and cooperate with Supervisors and coworkers.Follow and enforce all OSHA Safety Regulation and Safety Rules.Report and Address any Safety concerns to Safety Committee.Monitor hold log daily, inform production staff of holds and dispositions per the hold log; monitor disposition of productsAssist in short term, midterm and long-term management initiatives, program implementation and continuous improvement.
