Agency Information: About the Lottery: In November of 1986, 64 percent of Kansas voters approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the creation of a state lottery. The Kansas Legislature passed the "Kansas Lottery Act" in 1987, and the Kansas Lottery was established. The mission of the Kansas Lottery is to produce the maximum amount of revenue possible for the State of Kansas while ensuring the integrity of all games. The Kansas Lottery sells $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, $20 and $30 scratch tickets and $1 and $2 instant pull tab games. In addition, Kansas Lottery players enjoy Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto America, Lucky for Life, Super Kansas Cash, Pick 3, 2by2, Keno, Racetrax, and Holiday Millionaire Raffle draw games. Kansas Lottery products are sold at approximately 1,750 retail locations. The Kansas Expanded Lottery Act, enacted in 2007, authorized the Kansas Lottery to be the owner/operator of casino gaming in four Kansas gaming zones. Configure network monitoring, optimizations. Interface with vendors to ensure successful network implementation on lottery projects. Review and perform mitigation of audits, vulnerability reports and penetration testing on network equipment. Review vendor firewall changes for accuracy. Work with IT and lottery employees for disaster recovery. Support, maintain, and operate Lottery technology systems and applications. Review logs for issues or problems. Remediate issues found in vulnerability reports, review monitoring application for issues/problems, attacks or any other items noted by the application. Act as a backup to the Systems Administrator working on servers and applications that the lottery uses. Perform duties on Microsoft Servers including backups, restores, creation and maintenance of user accounts, modifications to Active Directory. Administer user and computer accounts to ensure proper OS updates and virus protection. Install hardware and software, assists with network set-up, support and maintenance. Valid current Class C Kansas Driver's license at the time of hire and throughout employment. Hardware and software technical support experience required. Strong documentation and communication skills required. Microsoft Office products experience required. Associates Degree preferred. Network Certified preferred. PCNSA or PCCET preferred. CCNA preferred. Customer service/Help desk experience preferred. Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements : Must pass extensive background prior to hire and subject to periodic updates.
