Position Summary and Job Responsibilities
Position Summary
You will serve as a Cybersecurity Analyst for all network security architectures, designs, implementations, and operations within the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. Position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain continuous operation of multi-user Linux computer systems to ensure team can effectively support the mission. This will include, but are not limited to:
Setting up administrator and service accounts.Installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.Performing configuration and troubleshooting of systems which may be desktop and/or server based.Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.Aide users in accessing and using systems.Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Maintaining system documentation.Required and/or Preferred Qualifications
Required and/or Preferred Qualifications (education, experience, licenses, skills)
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.Must be a US CitizenExperience with LINUX system administrationWork Environment: Position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. Must be capable of working morning and evening shifts to accommodate flexible schedule training operations.Clearance: DoD Top Secret security clearance.Preferred Quals:
Certifications: Linux+ and Security+Experience in Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) preferably as a System Administrator.Preferred experience would be maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
