Classes and certification test preparation will be held Monday - FridayTraining may include:

Interpersonal SkillsTechnical Training and Certification (if needed)

Phase 2 - Full-Time Employment:

Full-Time work (38 hours/week) with a training component (2 hours/week)Throughout the program you will receive continued support and individual mentorship to ensure your success.

Compensation:

$22.50 Hour (Plus Benefits after 90 days FT)

Overall Position Description:

The Entry-Level IT SAFE Technician provides essential technical support to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems within an organization that employs the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This role is focused on assisting with the maintenance of IT infrastructure, supporting agile teams, and learning to work within a SAFe environment. The IT SAFE Technician will work under the guidance of senior IT staff and gain experience in IT operations, agile tools, and processes.Responsibilities:Technical Support:Provide basic technical support for IT systems, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.Respond to helpdesk requests from agile teams and other IT users, resolving issues in a timely manner.Assist in setting up and configuring workstations, servers, and network devices.

Agile Tool Assistance:Support the administration and maintenance of agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other project management systems.Assist with user access, permissions, and basic configurations within agile tools.Learn to support integrations between agile tools and other IT systems.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:Monitor IT systems for performance issues, outages, and security concerns.Assist in routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, backups, and system checks.Support the implementation of system changes and updates as directed by senior IT staff.

Collaboration and Learning:Work closely with senior IT staff, Scrum Masters, and agile team members to understand technical requirements and processes.Participate in team meetings, including agile ceremonies, to gain exposure to SAFe practices and principles.Continuously learn and develop technical skills, with a focus on supporting agile environments.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation of technical procedures, system configurations, and support activities.Provide regular updates on the status of IT tasks and issues to senior IT staff.Assist in the creation of user guides and training materials for IT systems and agile tools.

Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in IT processes and systems, suggesting enhancements where possible.Participate in training sessions and workshops to build knowledge of SAFe, agile practices, and IT systems.Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in IT support and agile methodologies.

Qualifications:Candidate Profile:

Authorized to work in the United StatesPost 9/11 Military Veteran with an Honorable discharge,

OR

currently serving in the National Guard/ReserveHigh School Diploma or Equivalent with IT experience; (Bachelor's degree preferred)Available to work Full-timeQualifications (Required):

Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, and system administration.Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Qualifications (Desired):

Experience with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is a plus.Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash) is advantageous.Interest in pursuing further certifications or training in IT and agile methodologies.
