Network Installation Technician

Insight Global is searching for a Network Installation Technician to support the underwater development command team in Keyport, Washington. As a Network Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform network cable plant operations. This includes cable terminations, cable routing, network rack configuration, and switch configurations . You will work primarily on base in Keyport, but some travel to Bangor or PSNS maybe be required as well. You will work alongside a team of network professionals and Compensation: $30-40/hourExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Required Skills & Experience* 3+ years of experience performing network cable plant operations including cable terminations, cable routing, network rack configuration, and switch configurations. * Experience with all types of cables- Cat5, Fiber, Coax, etc. * Experience with crimping * CompTIA Security + and/or International Information Systems Security Certification; Consortium ((ISC)2) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP); Certified Network Associate certification and/or Current Cisco Certified Network Associate-Voice Certification; Fiber Optic cable installation and termination (Certified Fiber Optics Installer (CFOI) certification). * Active Secret Clearance with T5 investigationAbility to work onsite at NUWC Keyport 5 days per week Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
