We are currently recruiting for an experienced and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to join our clients IT function. The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems, peripherals, and applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of desktop operating systems and software applications.Key Responsibilities:Provide first-line support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues on desktop and laptop systems.Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals such as printers, monitors, and mobile devices.Perform system upgrades, patch management, and software updates on user devices.Manage and configure user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems.Assist with the setup and support of remote connections, VPNs, and other network-related tasks.Work closely with other IT team members to escalate and resolve more complex issues.Train and assist end users with system usage, security best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in desktop support, helpdesk support, or a similar IT role.Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, desktop applications, and network troubleshooting.Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and remote support tools.Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) and VPN technologies.Interested?
