Position SummaryManufacturing Support Intern is responsible for monitoring and managing overall performance (KPI's) of the main production lines.Other responsibilities include upkeep and maintenance of Manufacturing systems (GMES, Promise, ERP), Asset Management, Line of Balance (LOB), and attendance.Role and ResponsibilitiesImprove production processes to minimize losses, optimize efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality. Manage performance to achieve production KPI's by monitoring the following:Planned vs. actualProcess defectsCost managementLoss and labor costLine of balance and asset management.Plan and schedule line improvement activities.Key Performance Indicators (KPI).Promise Attendance SystemDrive the reduction of defective parts through sustaining the best production conditions promoting corrective actions.Assist in managing Inventory ControlSpecial Projects:Review and create improvement plan for line ergonomicsReview workstations and create a line improvement planAnalyze loss of balance and suggest improvement plans#LI-ONSITESkills and QualificationsEducation: Must be a rising/junior or rising/senior pursuing a four-year degree in Business Management, Business Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree.Experience: Prior work and/or internship experience in a business field is ideal, but not requiredKnowledge: Must have/had coursework in engineering studies, and/or a related science fieldSkills: Microsoft OfficePhysical Requirements: All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.* Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
