Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory compliance and maintain high overall product quality. From hand-held tablet devices to Las Vegas style gaming cabinets, our array of products is diverse and advanced. Interface with Game/System Development and other Product Development staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. Also responsible for having proficient understanding of the software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality. Will participate in mentoring Associate SQA Engineers. Organize and lead inter-departmental project meetings.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

Develop, review and execute test plans and scripts for new and existing game themes and systemsSubmit and track issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolvedFollow Work Instructions daily and assist other SQA Engineers with these functionsProvide detailed Completion Report at the end of each project and verify this report for projects assigned to all team SQA EngineersInterface with the Software Engineering Department and other members of the Product Support Engineering Department to resolve all reported issues before the gaming product is released. Assist other SQA Engineers in this area with their projectsAttend and lead Integration and SQA handoff meetingsEstablish and manage all required databases for SQA functions and testing.Responsible for all project escalations for each assigned projectMentor and lead multiple SQA Engineers on multiple projectsReview project hardware requirements and ensure that necessary hardware is in place for each assigned projectProvide a weekly project status report for each project assigned to the teamEstablish key contacts with upstream organizations that have a direct impact on SQA Product Management, Systems Engineering, System Development, and Game DevelopmentOrganizing and lead project team meetings and reviewsAssist the SQA Department on special projectsEstablish key contacts with upstream organizations that have a direct impact on SQAIntroduce and lead SQA process improvement initiativesMay have a small team of engineers as direct reportsExperience in leading SQA teams through a projects complete test life cycleExperience in deriving system test plans/cases from system requirementsKnowledge and experience using Visual StudioAcademic and/or work experience with C and/or C++Software Test methodology and product development lifecycleAutomation experience is a plusGaming industry experience preferredRequirements

Experience and Education

BS/BA Engineering or Computer Science preferred7+ years of relevant SQA work experiencePosition requires excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team membersAbility to lead and mentor multiple projects and SQA Engineers simultaneouslyAdvanced time management and organizational skillsCapable of providing input and solutions on specific or project wide issuesAbility to evaluate SQA Engineer performance and provide feedback to ManagerDetailed oriented and capable of working and leading with minimal supervisionAble to work and deliver in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environmentReal-time embedded systems and/or gaming experience preferredExpertise with TestRails and JIRAProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookProficiency of Agile methodologiesKnowledge or experience with Perl or other shell scripting language is a plusResults oriented, risk taking and extensive multi-tasking abilityPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
