Geoprobe® is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's computer systems, networks, servers, and software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, network administration, and troubleshooting. Job Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain computers and other company hardwareSetup and maintain Active Directory users in our systems and provide proper access to resources (i.e. software, printers, rights, security, etc.)Design, implement, manage, and maintain the company's computer systems, networks (hubs, switches, routers), on-premise and cloud servers, and softwareImplement and maintain security measures to protect on-premise and cloud-based systemsUpgrade company hardware and software components as requiredMonitor system performance and troubleshoot issuesEnsure data backup and disaster recovery plans are in placePerform system and network security assessments and implement appropriate measuresProvide technical support and assistance to end-users (in-office, phone, email, help desk, etc.)Document system configurations, processes, and proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutionsStay current with latest trends, best practices and advancements in technology and recommend improvementsCross-train IT on system and hardware for backup supportWork with outside vendorsOff-hour support as necessaryOther duties as assignedRequirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field7+ years of experience in systems administration or related roleExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workProven skills in project organization, prioritization, time-management, and decision-makingStrong knowledge of Windows operating systems and cloud platforms, such as AzureExperience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-VExperience with cloud-based endpoint management solutions, such as IntuneSolid understanding of networking principles and protocolsFamiliarity with backup and disaster recovery solutionsProficiency in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Bash, or PythonExperience with monitoring and troubleshooting on-premise and cloud-based systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsTeam oriented - able to collaborate with fellow employees - requires working with IT department, and other company departmentsJob Skills Desired
