Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist with extensive hands-on experience in setting up employees from start to finish within PayCom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for employees, and maintaining HR records. Key Responsibilities- Set up new employees in PayCom from onboarding through payroll activation, ensuring all employee information is accurately entered and verified.
- Manage and process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records, including salary changes, deductions, benefits, and garnishments, and ensure these are updated in PayCom
- Address and resolve payroll-related issues, discrepancies, or concerns in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the HR team to support the employee lifecycle, from new hire onboarding to termination processing.
- Assist in benefits administration and ensure accurate deductions for health, dental, retirement, and other benefit programs.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements concerning payroll and HR data.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and address any discrepancies proactively.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an HR/Payroll Specialist with hands-on knowledge of PayCom
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using PayCom for employee setup, payroll processing, and data management.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling sensitive payroll data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to address payroll discrepancies efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees and management.
