Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee production processes, including blending and packaging operations, ensuring optimal equipment utilization and efficiency.
- Manage production schedules to meet daily and weekly output goals, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Monitor and implement best practices in warehouse operations to improve productivity, reduce labor costs, and enhance on-time deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished products, conducting regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective logistics.
- Supervise and support team members, including involvement in employee reviews, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and track performance metrics related to production efficiency, labor utilization, and cost control, providing regular reports on progress against business objectives.
- Analyze production yields, manage labor hours, and control overtime to optimize operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with established protocols and industry best practices.
- Manage maintenance schedules for production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- 5-7 years of experience in plant operations or manufacturing, preferably in food processing or related industries.
- Knowledge of blending and packaging equipment, including setup and accessory management (printers, labelers, etc.).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach, counsel, and train employees at all levels.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with production scheduling software a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and compliance standards; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
