$17.95 to $23.08/hour

In this role, you have the opportunity to use your organizational skills and office experience to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across Riverside and San Bernardino County. The Administrative Assistant plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by assisting in data entry, greeting clients and visitors, audit preparation and maintenance of program documents. This position reports directly to the Director of Supportive Housing Programs and works closely with the Office Manager and the rest of the housing team.Responsibilities:Properly check guests/clients in and out in a welcoming mannerProficiently answer/reroute phone calls and emails as appropriateMaintain a clean and organized environmentReceive and sort mailGreet and direct vendors/deliveriesAssist other programs as needed and as time allowsInteract effectively and courteously with all levels of management and staffPerform other similar duties and projects as assigned and requestedProcess receipts for monthly expenses into Papersave systemProcess reimbursement requests for various contractsAssist in regular file auditsAssist as needed with outreach services for walk-in clientsAssist in drafting documents and letters as neededAssist in regular mailing of program documents as neededAssist in food distributionSkills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:Must have a valid CA driver's license, insurance, a reliable personal vehicle, and a willingness to travel off-siteAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testHigh School Diploma or GEDIntermediate computer knowledge using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordPrevious Customer Service ExperienceExcellent communication and customer service skillsMust be dependable, reliable, responsible, and have a strong work ethicMust be able to handle multiple phone calls, be able to multi-task and prioritize dutiesWork cohesively with others in a fast-paced environmentMust be comfortable enforcing the agencies policies and proceduresIs accountable for the responsibilities of the position accepts constructive criticism in a positive mannerAbility to work independently, sometimes with limited supervisionReliable transportation to arrive at work on-timeAbility to maintain HIPAA compliant confidentiality and discretion with regard to sensitive personal information of organization, guest, and clientsTreat others with respect; show sensitivity to and respect for cultural differences; support diverse workforce and help ensure a workplace and community free from unlawful discrimination and harassmentSkills/Abilities Wed Like You to Have:At least 1 year of professional experience in an administrative role, ideally in a rapidly evolving institution
