As a Project Engineer, you'll be at the center of our construction projects, working closely with project managers and superintendents to bring plans to life. Your role will be essential in coordinating efforts, tracking progress, and keeping projects running smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources. You'll help keep everything on track, making sure we're hitting our targets and staying within budget.
- Coordinate and communicate with all project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. You'll keep everyone aligned and informed, serving as a vital link between the different players involved.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring that the work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations. You'll get hands-on experience and see your efforts come to life on the ground.
- Support the project team by handling key documentation tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders. You'll be responsible for keeping the project's paperwork organized and up to date.
- Dive into project data, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular status reports to the team. Your insights will help guide decision-making and keep the project moving forward.
- Ensure that all work meets company policies, procedures, and safety standards. You'll play an active role in upholding a culture of safety and quality on every project.
- Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Your problem-solving skills will help you tackle challenges quickly and effectively.
- Work closely with your team to identify areas for improvement, suggest new ideas, and implement innovative solutions. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference by contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field,
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in construction project management.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, techniques, and materials required.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and keep everything on schedule.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure everyone stays informed and aligned.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software, like Procore and MS Project, as well as an interest in learning new tech that can boost productivity.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, understanding the technical details behind each project.
- Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating with others, and stays flexible when priorities shift.
