Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

The Director of Finance will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the firm, including financial planning and analysis, reporting, compliance, and treasury management. This position requires collaboration with the leadership team to shape the company’s overall strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and/or accounting, with experience at a private equity company and a demonstrated ability to build teams from the ground up. Familiarity with bank covenants is a plus. Exceptional analytical skills and a strategic mindset are essential for success in this role.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day financials responsibilities of the company and guide its strategic objectives.

Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and scenario planning to guide decision-making.

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders and external partners.

Conduct variance analysis and performance reporting to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Work alongside leadership team to manage investor communications and deliver updates on financial performance.

Prepare materials for meetings and presentations to current and potential investors.

Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Oversee audit processes and liaise with external auditors.

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and effectiveness.

Implement best practices for financial operations, systems, and controls.

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Support the professional development of team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Responsible for daily cash management process.

Protect the Company’s confidential information.

Review customer contracts for accuracy.

Perform/participate in other duties/projects as assigned.

Skills

Experience with Month End Close Procedures

Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or Microsoft Business Central or a similar system preferred

Advanced skills in MS Office programs

Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations is a plus

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred.

Minimum of [5-10] years of experience in finance.

Worked for a PE backed business.

Experience with bank covenants.

Experience with sub 50M small businesses.

Experience with building teams from the ground up.

Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
