Summary:We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide technical assistance and support to our employees.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Essential Functions:Provide first-line technical support to end-users via email, phone, or in-person, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and security.Assist with setting up new user accounts and profiles and resetting passwords when necessary.Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in maintaining network infrastructure.Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups.Document technical issues, resolutions, and IT procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.Assist in the implementation of IT projects, such as software upgrades, hardware deployments, and system migrations.Collaborate with IT team members to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance IT infrastructure and services.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding IT security, data protection, and confidentiality.Competencies/Skills:Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, G Suite).Experience with desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair.Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.Ability to articulate issues, problem-solve and analyze with creative and outside of the box thinking.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end-users at all levels of the organization.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous but not required.Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay organized and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.Capability to build trusting relationships internally and externally and elicit confidence by demonstrating reliability.Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a cooperative and diverse environment.Capacity to analyze processes, support change and think operationally and strategically to achieve business goals.Education and Experience:Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.2+ years relevant experience.Relevant certifications are a plus.
