Infrastructure Engineer

JOB TITLE: Infrastructure Engineer LOCATION: 300 West Schrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081. Telecommuting permitted up to 60% of the week. DUTIES: Design and architect virtualized server infrastructure in alignment with industry standards. Analyze, implement, and execute migrations to public cloud infrastructure, following best practices for cloud services. Perform daily administration of server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud. Execute enterprise-level system upgrades for operating systems and various applications, evaluating and installing patches as needed. Design and oversee core services like directory services, group policies, DNS, and identity management. Manage office applications in cloud environments and synchronize user data between on-premises and cloud-based directory services. Implement single sign-on solutions with on- premises federation services. Develop standardized server images with emphasis on security compliance and hardening, conforming to recognized standards such as CIS. Oversee Service Level Agreements, documentation, and policies related to virtualized environments. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and respond to business emergencies as required. Address escalated issues from IT Service Desk and other departments within the IT domain. Proactively monitor server environments to anticipate and mitigate potential problems. Adhere to Change Management, Service Management, and Incident Management processes and procedures. Develop and manage scripts to perform system tasks. Employ orchestration and automation tools to expedite deployment, ensuring consistent builds and patch management. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technologies, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, VMWare Engineer/Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: MS Windows server administration; managing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level server administration including clustering; deploying and maintaining servers in VMware, a hosted virtual environment; deploying and maintaining servers in Amazon AWS cloud; Active Directory; GPOs; DNS; ADFS; maintaining Windows Server OS; scripting to automate tasks and processes using PowerShell; Networking, TCP/IP, firewall, and network routing; creating and managing IT runbooks and system and project documentation.
