Description

Purpose:

Executes Midwest Machinery Co.'s Demo strategy of showcasing John Deeres Precision Ag products as an end-to-end solution across large ag platforms. Continue to provide consulting services, expertise, and training for the sale and support of solutions enabled by the John Deere Precision Ag strategy and other aligned technology and applications to producers in their trade area. Works with all dealership departments to sell and support precision farming products and services. Consistently exhibits Midwest Machinery Company's core purpose and values.

Responsibilities:Develops and executes the Large Ag demo strategy for Midwest Machinery Co.Works with Account Managers to visit customers to optimize equipment and technology.Assist Precision Farming Director in identifying low market share areas to place demosTeach customers to utilize features they purchased and then demo new featuresSupports Precision Specialists in completion of Precision Field TeamsLead internal and external product trainingUse John Deere Operation Center to monitor machine performance and help Account Managers analyze data and present to customerIdentify demo equipment needs for Midwest Machinery Co. regionsMaintains dealership vehicle and other equipment as assignedInteracts in a positive and respectful manner with customers and fellow employeesAbility to work flexible hours and support customers in season as requiredMaintains and promotes a safe work environment. Demonstrates understanding of and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

Associate degree (bachelor's preferred) in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Agriculture Mechanization, Computer Technology, or equivalent experience4+ years' experience in an agriculture-related role2+ years' experience in operating large agricultural equipmentBasic understanding of electrical and wireless communication systemsKnowledge of database software and computer application systemsAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsAbility to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a groupAbility to take highly technical information and explain it in understandable terms to a diverse audienceWorks independent with little supervision and problem solving capabilitiesPhysical and Mental and Other Requirements:

Frequent bending and stoopingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionallyOccasional work outdoors in extreme heat or cold, rain or snowOccasional work on ladders or at elevated heightsValid driver's license with an insurable driving record requiredMust pass a pre-employment background study
