Role Overview
As a Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive manual testing and validation of data as it flows from multiple disparate sources into our centralized data warehouse, and subsequently, into our reporting dashboards. You will collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and product teams to identify, document, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring that our customers receive accurate and reliable insights.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Responsibilities)
1. Infuse the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction.
2. Conduct thorough manual testing and validation of data as it is ingested from various sources into the data warehouse.
3. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all stages of the data pipeline, from ingestion to reporting.
4. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate data transformations, aggregations, and calculations.
5. Identify, document, and track data quality issues and work closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to resolve them.
6. Validate and verify the accuracy of customer-facing reports and dashboards to ensure they meet business requirements and standards.
7. Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, define data quality metrics, and implement data quality best practices.
9. Monitor and report on data quality KPIs and metrics, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
10. Continuously improve data quality processes and methodologies, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
11. Help implement automated data quality checks across the data sources in the organization.
12. Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications)
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in data quality analysis, data testing, or a similar role.
3. Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
4. Proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation, and testing.
5. Experience working with data warehouses and ETL processes.
6. Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
10. Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.

We offer a hybrid work model where you'll join us in the office for at least three full workdays each week, allowing for meaningful in-person connections and teamwork. The remaining two days offer the option to work remotely, providing you with the balance and autonomy to excel in your role.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with data quality tools and frameworks such as Talend, Informatica, or Great Expectations.
2. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
3. Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
4. Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Sitting for extended periods of time; approximately 5-6 hours per day
2. Simultaneous use of hand, wrist and fingers
3. Daily operation of standard office equipment
4. Frequent use of oral communication to perform work
5. Occasionally lifts and moves 7-10 pounds
