Job Description

The Department

The Invesco Private Markets (IPM) accounting team is responsible for investor, fund and account level financial reporting, management of the fund treasury process, coordination of annual audits, and coordination and review of investor and fund level tax filing requirements for real estate, debt, and private equity funds. The IPM accounting team is also involved acquisitions and dispositions and coordination with joint venture partners, third party service provides and property management companies.

Your Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting and reporting for certain client real estate portfolios and/or Fund products. This person helps coordinate/review deliverables prepared by Hyderabad personnel/third party administrators and supports the Assistant Controller and Controller on assigned client accounts.

You will be responsible for:

Assisting and/or preparing financial statements, client reporting information, net asset value statements, capital call and distribution notices, consultant reports and other financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.Serving as main point of contact for third-party property management accounting providers or third-party administrators.Coordinating and running the general accounting function concerning the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and resulting property financial statements.Preparing or reviewing the acquisition and disposition entries for all assets on assigned portfolios and coordinates payments.Drafting initial audit report, providing or coordinating delivery of audit support to auditors, working with Assistant Controller and Controller to incorporate auditor comments into final audit report. Preparing final tie out of audit report.Reviewing tax returns prepared by tax advisors and coordinates with internal tax team on tax guidance.Taking ownership of maintenance of client bank accounts, including setup/closure, cash projections, and compliance.Maintaining a working relationship with portfolio and asset managers, product management and compliance as a part of the portfolio team.The experience you bring:

Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting.Real estate accounting background and CPA license is preferred but not required.Three (or more) years of related work experience in accounting.Public Accounting background sought for position.Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Yardi and/or Investran software a plus.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals including both internal and external contacts.Self-motivated, organized and flexible.Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Yardi and/or Investran software a plus.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals including both internal and external contacts.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, organized and flexible.Full Time / Part Time
