Summary:
As the Vice President of Project Management you provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the successful execution of all construction projects. This role requires a strong background in civil engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects. You will drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in project delivery while fostering a collaborative and high-performing project management team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance project management processes, methodologies, and overall project delivery efficiency.
Project Oversight: Provide executive oversight and management for all construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, coordinators, and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation including personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize project efficiency and profitability.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other challenges.
Financial Oversight: Monitor project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, to ensure projects remain within financial targets and achieve profitability goals.
Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance and control processes to ensure all projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and company policies across all projects.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular project performance reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Business Development: Collaborate with business development teams to identify new opportunities, participate in proposal development, and contribute to winning new contracts.

To perform the job successfully you must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing project management in the civil engineering construction industry.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management best practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Strategic thinker with a track record of successfully managing multiple large-scale projects concurrently, delivering results on time and within budget.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and familiarity with ERP systems.
Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client meetings.
PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
