A prominent law firm is seeking a seasoned Commercial Attorney to join the global Risk team, contributing to the firm’s ongoing success by managing complex client contracts and providing strategic advice. This role requires a skilled attorney with expertise in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and commercial strategy, who will collaborate with multiple teams across the firm, including Finance, Business Development, and Information Security.

Duties
- Address legal, ethical, business, and strategic issues across various areas.
- Draft and negotiate complex client-facing contracts and agreements across different business sectors.
- Ensure client contracts adhere to ethical standards and internal policy requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate business and legal risks in contracts while aligning with business goals.
- Collaborate with firm partners to manage client agreements and commercial requests.
- Draft and manage legal documents, templates, and client-facing communications.
- Support and manage compliance and risk-related audits.
- Enhance efficiency and scalability within the commercial legal support function.
- Supervise and collaborate with the global Risk team’s administrative staff.
- Work with other teams such as Finance, Business Development, and Information Security.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, either in a top-tier law firm or in an in-house role.
- Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, with strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high standard of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent judgment and the ability to make risk-based assessments under ambiguous conditions.
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proactive, resourceful, and committed to delivering results.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
