Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller with over 5 years of experience in the oil and gas, chemical, or power and utilities sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and electrical projects and be proficient in data input and document management systems, particularly SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) or similar tools.Key Responsibilities:Manage the document control process for instrumentation and electrical projects, ensuring all documents are accurately logged, tracked, and maintained.Develop and implement document management procedures and standards in accordance with industry best practices.Coordinate the flow of information between project teams, ensuring timely distribution and retrieval of documentation.Input, update, and maintain data within SPI or similar document management systems.Ensure compliance with project-specific documentation requirements, including regulatory and quality standards.Perform regular audits of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.Provide training and support to team members on document control processes and tools.Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for project meetings and stakeholder reviews.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any documentation-related issues.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.5+ years of experience as a Document Controller in the oil and gas or power and utilities industry.Strong understanding of instrumentation and electrical project documentation requirements.Proficiency in SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) or similar document management systems.Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with other engineering software tools and document management systems.Experience with project management methodologies and tools.Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to documentation.
