Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is typically required.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA.
Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and developing safety programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train employees and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Safety Manager duties:
Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive safety program that aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements. This includes developing safety guidelines, protocols, and training programs.
Conducting risk assessments: You will assess workplace environments and identify potential hazards or risks. This may involve inspecting equipment, facilities, and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Managing safety training and education: You will coordinate and deliver safety training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors. This includes conducting safety orientations, providing ongoing training, and promoting a safety-conscious culture throughout the organization.
Investigating incidents and accidents: In the event of workplace accidents or incidents, you will lead investigations to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
