Staff Accountant - Corporate | Summit Healthcare Mgmt | Franklin, TennesseeAbout the Job:The Staff Accountant is an entry level accounting position is responsible for the accounting and financial functions of assigned substance use disorder facilities. Duties include preparation of daily accounting activity, reconciliations, and other workpaper presentations. This position may also provide the opportunity to participate in various special projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Primary resource for BOMsPrepare and analyze general ledger accounting entries necessary to generate financial statementsRevenuePayroll and benefitsPrepaidsAccrualsStatisticsOthers as assigned
Monthly analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accountsBank reconciliation(s)Accounts receivable reconciliation(s)Balance sheet reconciliation(s)Others as assigned
Investigate and correct variances identified through the reconciliation processIncome statement trend analysis and financial review notes preparationAssist with coordinating and/or preparation of budgetsPrioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environmentOther duties as assignedEducation/Experience/Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accountingProficiency in ExcelHealthcare and multi-entity exposure is a plusKnowledge of Microsoft Dynamics - Great Plains is a plusExcellent analytical and communication skills
Licenses/Designations/Certifications:
Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for exam is a plus
