Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Neuro Trauma Surgery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required, 18 months of experience required overall License: For start dates 2-4 weeks out, must have applicable or compact license in hand. For start dates 4+ weeks out, must have initiated the licensing process. Certifications: ACLS and BCLS Must-Have: - Proficient Neuro Experience- Management of Drips- Flexibility with weekend requirements Job Description: - All Registered Nurses must agree to potentially precept and/or have students shadow them during the assignment.- The role requires the ability to work 50% of the weekends throughout the contract, based on unit needs.- Call-ins for contracted shifts require make-up days within the pay period or will be added to the end of the contract.- May need to provide charge nurse coverage pending operational needs, with training and resources provided.- Expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) if required, with resources provided.- Involved with patients with conditions such as CVAs, hydrocephalus, brain tumors, seizures, TBIs, GI surgeries, and large wound cleaning and closures.- Hospitals are teaching facilities and travelers may be assigned additional responsibilities such as precepting.- Flu vaccine required with allowances for medical or religious exemptions only.- COVID-19 vaccine not required.- No specific charting requirement.- Module completion required pre-start, averaging 6-12 hours via the online learning system.
