About the Role:
The Accountant is responsible for all routine functions of the finance department including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, accounts payable (AP), cash disbursements, accounts receivable (AR) and cash receipts. This role collaborates with the Development Department to reconcile cash and in-kind donations and with the Food Shelf Department to manage inventory reconciliation. The position also assists the Director of Finance and Operations and the Finance Manager with account analyses, ad-hoc reporting, audit support, among other miscellaneous duties.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Bachelor's preferred.Minimum two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience to include, but not limited to: non-profit fund accounting, and reconciliations; understands the chart of accounts, trial balance, and balance sheet.Knowledge of non-profit audit matters, state and federal regulations, grants managements, preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook, preferably NetSuite, Travel Bank.Benefits and Perks:
