Why does the job exist?

The Infrastructure team is part of the Workforce Technology Division (WTD) at the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions. Infrastructure maintains and supports the systems and networks utilized by the agency's other departments to accomplish a majority of critical work functions. These work functions support the citizens of New Mexico in a wide variety of ways.

How does it get done?

Under direct supervision, install, configure, and maintain the integrity of the enterprise network and server environment. Perform tier III triage of server issues. Respond and resolve production issues related to core infrastructure components and systems for the Department of Workforce Solutions. Other IT related job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering or similar technical degree and two (2) years of experience in end user support, systems administration, network administration or any related field. Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some travel may be required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
