Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Acute Care Float Pool RN - MS/Tele Float Job Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: 2 Years Required License: Compact License or Single State License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Epidural Medication Experience Job Description: - Provide high-quality care in a 450-bed medical facility with 290 acute care beds covering various units including Medical-Surgical, BMT and Oncology, Cardiac Surgery, Telemetry, Neuro, Rehab, Transplant, Short Stay, and boarding units.- Participate in orientation for three 12-hour shifts across five different units before floating to all acute care units, rehab, and boarding areas.- Float within the hospital, including the ED, PACU, ICU, and other boarding areas to manage boarding patients.- Work in a teaching facility, experience preferred.- Experience titrating insulin and heparin drips is highly preferred.- Manage PCA's and epidural medications such as Ketamine.- Handle high-acuity acute care assignments with charge nurses not included in staffing ratios.- Rotate between day and night shifts, with potential for unit changes three times during a 12-hour day shift.- Accommodate weekend work as needed without a fixed schedule.- EPIC experience is beneficial.Candidates must be available for required orientation schedules and have two references upon submittal. Familiarity with charting systems and hospital protocols is highly appreciated. Ensure compliance with the facility's background policy and prepare to engage in non-billable pre-start modules with EPIC training during orientation.
