Registered Nurse - NICU @ UW Medical Center - Montlake

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours with the possibility of reduced hours due to census. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in NICU, including experience in teaching hospitals at Level III. EPIC experience is a plus but not required. License: Compact License or State License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Candidates must be able to float within the hospital and specifically to Mother Baby to care for babies only. Not open to first-time travelers. Job Description: - Serve as a NICU RN in a 54-bed Level III unit, which acts as a regional referral center for high-risk infants.- Care for very low birth weight premature infants requiring ventilatory support in a new state-of-the-art unit.- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1.- Accommodate weekend scheduling on a variable, as-needed basis.- Participate in mandatory modules and orientation prior to start.- Ability to accommodate up to 1 week of requested time off (RTO) outside of orientation week.- Compliance with the facility's policies, including COVID-19 and flu vaccine regulations, as applicable.Note: This position does not include floating to sister hospitals or accommodating block schedules unless specified otherwise.
