Registered Nurse - NICU @ UW Medical Center - Montlake

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Job Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: In the event of low census, healthcare providers may be called off or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to 1 shift's worth of hours in a 2-week cycle. Experience: 3 years of experience required with NICU experience at Level III teaching hospitals License: Compact License or State single license is acceptable Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Experience in NICU Level III as a regional referral center for high-risk infants.- Ability to care for very low birth weight premature infants requiring ventilatory support. Job Description: - The facility is equipped with a 54-bed Level III NICU specializing in high-risk neonatal care.- Healthcare professionals must have experience working with ventilatory support for low birth weight infants.- Includes a variable weekend requirement, scheduled as needed.- No on-call requirements.- Floating within the hospital is required, specifically to the Mother Baby unit to care for infants only.- Requires EPIC charting experience or willingness to learn.- Candidates should be open to flexible scheduling; block schedules are not accommodated unless specified.- Locals are accepted, and there is no variance in bill rate.- Candidates must have completed compliance requirements three business days prior to their start date.- Previous staff must have a break of 18 months before returning as a traveling nurse.Note: The COVID-19 vaccine is not required. Flu vaccine status is unknown.
