If so, please click link: https://www.aidt.edu/aidt-transportation-request/ Purpose of position : To provide maintenance and support for every aspect of electronic equipment such as computer hardware, software, networking, and telephones and perform general technical support functions, including physical installation, assembly, configuration, and maintenance of the personal computer network. Please note, the IT Administrator role is not a remote position. Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation). Installs, configures, and upgrades operating systems and software. Assists in creating and creates management reports as requested. Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware; pulls cables and rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required. Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network, and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required. Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and data; provides help desk functions to facilitate the exchange of information and advice to fellow employees; implements solutions or notifies outsource providers as required. Serves as s point of contact for IT vendors and service providers. Makes hardware and software acquisition recommendations including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services. Assists in instructing staff in the use of standard business and administrative software and hardware. Assists with the planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as necessary. Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy. Observe and practice all safety procedures and personnel policies. Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner. Works additional projects as needed including at times after regular business hours. Other duties as required. Skills, knowledge and abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job). Must be proficient in software platforms including Microsoft 365. Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers and supervisors. Must be able to work with little or no supervision and take initiative. Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to see within normal range with or without corrective lenses. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while using hands, fingers, and wrists repetitively on a computer keyboard. Must regularly be able to reach overhead. Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and stand. Must be able to walk throughout the facility regularly throughout the day. Must be available outside of normal business hours as needed. Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions. Experience and Education Requirements: At least 18 years old, a High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years of IT management experience are required. An Associate's degree in Information Technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of general computer installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrading, and repair experience is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience with network administration (Cisco certification a plus) is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing software platforms including Microsoft 365 and managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices is required. Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems is required. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
