This Law Firm a Mid-sized highly respected law firm with attorneys across several East Coast States is currently seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to assist with daily matters listed below.

The firm focuses on litigation and business law to support their clients that range from Fortune 500 and large privately-held companies to municipal entities, small businesses and partnerships in a broad diversity of industries and business sectors.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Maintain case files and ensure that all relevant documents are properly organized and stored.
Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of trial materials, including exhibits and witness lists.
Coordinate with clients and opposing counsel regarding case-related matters, including scheduling and discovery requests.
Manage the calendar and scheduling for the attorneys and assist in managing deadlines and appointments.
Attend and take notes at meetings and court proceedings.
Provide administrative support as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing.

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in commercial litigation.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research databases.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to work with confidential information.
