The PM will manage projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints, dynamically adapting to deliver business value. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: IT Project Manager I Work under the direction and mentorship of senior project managers while training to become competent and proficient in project management. Coordinate several small, non-complex projects. Work with key stakeholders to gather and document requirements. Clearly communicate project expectations to team members. Track and report on project milestones and provide timely status reports. IT Project Manager II IT Project Manager I responsibilities listed above. Effectively manage multiple project initiatives concurrently. Work with project sponsor, key stakeholders, and IT resources to clearly outline project scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and schedule. Manage project development from initiation to closure with accountability for project results and compliance with KBI and State of Kansas standards in IT architecture, policies, and guidelines. Abide by Kansas Information Technology Office guidelines on project management standards and quarterly reporting using Kansas Approval and Reporting System (KARS). Assist in the development of use cases and conduct usability studies where appropriate and necessary. Resolve issues, mitigate risks and solve problems throughout the project life cycle. Track project progress against established baselines of budget and timelines, produce required management reports, oral and/or written status reports to administration, project sponsors, and stakeholders. Build and Manage relationships with stakeholders, external customers, IT staff, administration, and vendor partners. IT Project Manager III IT Project Manager I and II responsibilities listed above. Mentor and train other project managers within the Project Management Office. Effectively manage multiple complex project initiatives concurrently. Evaluate qualifications of potential contractors, and monitoring contractors for conformance to contract requirements. Ability to organize and manage a portfolio of projects. Qualifications: Education Bachelor's degree. Experience may be substituted as determined relevant Licensing & Certification Kansas IT Project Management Methodology Certification or a traditional IT Project Management Methodology Certification (within 1 year of employment) Minimum Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to facilitate and lead in group settings Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Proficient with personal computer and associated productivity tools. IT Project Manager I : A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent job experience IT Project Manager II : 2 years of experience as a project manager and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent job experience IT Project Manager III : 4 years of experience as a project manager and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent job experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with capturing business and functional requirements. Understanding of infrastructure and software development projects. Skilled in using methodologies and tool sets compatible with project management.
