YOUR DAY TO DAY :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Sr. Financial Analyst with Tax and Accounting expertise
to join our finance team, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. In this pivotal role, you will manage and analyze property and multi-state sales tax filings, oversee depreciation calculations, support the preparation of annual business plans and monthly forecasts, and assist with audit activities. Your expertise will ensure our financial operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations, while contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our financial processes.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR :
Prepares annual property tax listings and analyzes appraised value reports and invoices for reasonablenessPrepare periodic multi-state Sales Tax ReturnsReview vendor and customer state Sales Tax CertificationsPrepares and files Secretary of State annual reports and other miscellaneous tax returns, including census reports at the federal and state levelResponsible for tracking and capitalizing Authorization for Expenditures request to ensure accurate depreciation of capital assetsCalculate the monthly book depreciationPrepare depreciation forecast as requestedCalculate the annual tax depreciation for Federal, State, and local jurisdictionsPerforms month end closing tasksAssists with preparing the five-year annual business plan and the monthly forecastsPrepare data for tax departmentAssist with all audit activity for external auditorsInterface with all levels of employees and managementComplex problem-solving including issue identification and solution(s) proposalsYOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceA minimum of 6 years of directly related experienceCPA is desiredKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP)Experience with basic Financial Analysis techniquesKnowledge and experience with JD Edwards, Sag Fixed Assets, and OneStream XFKnowledge of book and tax depreciation methodsExperience with Sales and Use Tax Return filingsStrong analytical, multi-tasking and time management skillsExpert MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPointHighly organized and self-motivatedEffective written and verbal communication skillsApplicant must be a US citizen.
