This position serves our partners at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). MNIT MnDOT supports an agency with technology integrated into all areas of business. From business intelligence and solutions for critical transportation infrastructure to planning and operating a safe, efficient, and reliable multimodal transportation system, the team connects people and markets across Minnesota. As the Application Developer, you will provide application design, programming, database development, and maintenance support for the Budget and Accounts Receivables applications including Budget Tracking, Budget & Salary Projections, CABS, and associated application interfaces. You will also assist with the design, development, support, and maintenance of other accounting systems including the Finance web reports interface, and you will play a critical role in modernizing applications currently developed in MS Access and Oracle Forms and migrate them to the C# in the Azure Cloud environment. This position is currently eligible for full-time, telework: Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies in St. Paul, Minnesota. Experience must include: Knowledge and experience developing in C#. Ability to work on multiple projects as well as supporting existing applications. Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties. Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving. A masters degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelors degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associates degree substitutes for one (1) year. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in designing and deploying cloud-based applications with expertise in leveraging Azure. Experience with Business Objects Enterprise C#.NET SDK. Financial Data and Financial System knowledge and experience. Experience with SWIFT and SEMA4 PeopleSoft systems, data, and logic. Knowledge and experience with HTML, XML and Web page design principles. Experience with the states mainframe systems and environment, utilities, VSAM, IAM, flat files, Job Control Language (JCL).
