Job Description :
The Benefits Manager will lead benefits administration and open enrollment for over 700 US-based employees. This role supports the US HR team by handling all benefits-related inquiries, managing various leave programs, and working on vendor relations to ensure efficient benefits processes. Additionally, the Benefits Manager will focus on employee communication and education, leading presentations and updating benefits guides.
Key Responsibilities :
Benefits Administration (60%) :
Serve as the main point of contact for benefits questions and support benefit enrollments, terminations, and change requests.
Oversee open enrollment, manage FMLA, STD, DCPA, maternity and paternity leave, and other programs.
Process and audit invoices, manage billing issues, and ensure accurate benefits data in HR systems.
Support potential RFPs and assess current vendor options for effectiveness.
Benefits Communication & Education (40%) :
Respond to employee inquiries, assist with benefit claims, and provide updates on benefit programs.
Lead benefits presentations, including new employee onboarding sessions, and update annual benefits guides.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant benefits experience, with strong knowledge of US benefits and multi-state labor laws.
Proficiency in HR systems (ADP, Workday preferred), MS Office, and SharePoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in a high-expectation, academic environment.
