Event Content and Creative Specialist
This position is responsible for collaborating with product managers and content specialists to plan events, develop creative visions for branding and attendee experiences, and coordinating logistics with internal teams and external partners. Key tasks involve creating detailed show flows, producing visual elements (e.g. staging, signage, programs), and ensuring alignment across departments and vendors. Effective cross-departmental communication is essential to ensure consistent implementation of event's creative vision.

- This position is based in the Deseret Book Corporate office in Salt Lake City. We operate in a hybrid model and require staff to be in the office two days per week.
Wage
$52,000-$68,000/year
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
Main Roles/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Content Planning and Collaboration: Work with product managers and content specialists to determine the necessary content and information for ticketed events, including concerts, conferences, speaker series, and immersive book experiences. Collaborate on establishing event goals, messaging, and creative direction in line with budget considerations.Creative Vision Development: Develop a comprehensive creative vision for events, including visual branding and the overall attendee experience. Create detailed visual brand guides, signage, and other elements necessary to deliver the event experience.Event Planning and Coordination: Produce and distribute detailed show flows, including scripts, music cues, and event logistics, ensuring all elements are coordinated with relevant teams. Liaise with multiple departments and external partners to ensure smooth execution, including:Audio Visual Companies: Communicate AV needs and event logistics.Deseret Book Product Managers: Align event content with business objectives.Music Artists, Bands, Speakers, and Presenters: Share event vision and details, ensuring their needs are met and they are well-represented.Graphic Designers and Marketing Teams: Ensure event branding and marketing materials align with the event's creative vision.
Production of Visual Elements: Design and produce all visual elements for events, including signage, programs, slides, digital signage, and teleprompter files.Cross-Departmental Communication: Ensure consistent communication of the event's look and feel across all Deseret Book departments and leadership. Coordinate with various teams to ensure the event's creative vision is understood and effectively implemented.Secure music licensing and media permissions for show contentEvent video archive coordinationEvent video content selection for product and advertising needsOnsite Event Producer (managing the show element onsite at events - requires some travel)Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, or related fieldAt least 5 years experience in event planning, production, or related fields, with a strong focus on creative and brand developmentExperience working with cross-functional teams and external partnersStrong understanding of visual branding, event aesthetics, and attendee experience design.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously including timelines, budgets, and resourcesExperience creating detailed event scripts, show flows, and coordinating technical requirements (AV, logistics)Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with internal teams and external partnersProficient in design software. Familiarity with teleprompters, digital signage, and other event technologies.Attention to detailsPhysical Requirements & Travel
This role will require some travel in the U.S.Event days require long hours, extensive customer interaction, physical exertion, and a high level of stamina.Moderate to heavy (30-50 lbs.) lifting and standing for long periods while at events.Benefits
