PURPOSE OF ROLE

Responsible for writing user stories, facilitating agile concepts, and bringing design, engineering and quality assurance together to deliver against sprint goals. Partners closely with product leadership and design in order to execute on roadmaps with the scrum team. Also responsible for ensuring that each sprint release meets the business needs and quality standards.

EXPECTATIONSCollaborates with product, design, and technology leaders to translate roadmaps into an organized backlog of work with comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.Builds and fosters strong relationships with key stakeholdersFacilitates highly effective ceremonies and ensures the scrum team has context and understanding of their work and how their work aligns with the product strategy and business objectives.Facilitates agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, standups, and retros.Owns sprint backlog to effectively balance sprint goals with incoming bugs and urgent items.Maintains an efficient backlog that enables the team the capabilities to take action during the planning stages.Conducts acceptance testing and provides early feedback to development teams.Works with the development team, design, and QA to raise and resolve issues throughout a sprint.Leads the creation of product release plans and works with leadership to set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.Ensures that all product releases follow defined processes, meet high-quality standards, address customer needs, and deliver measurable value to the business.Escalates and resolves post release issues introduced or missed in the product release.Works with training, marketing, support, and key stakeholders to communicate releases and potential impacts.Gathers metrics on key feature releases and reports on their intended and actual impacts to inform future roadmap and prioritization and ensure the team is working towards intended outcomes.Participates in the research and analysis of the market and roadmap for the product.Analyzes market trends and feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and development.Monitors and evaluates the product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize product features.Performs other duties as assigned.REPORTS TO

Computer Science, Business, or related fieldQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Minimum 5 years of experience in a product owner, customer support, project management or other related function.Experience balancing competing priorities, listening to stakeholders to identify solutions, and working with technology to implement those solutions.Experience facilitating cross-functional groups to foster healthy debate and achieve productive conversations.Experience with software development lifecycle using agile methodologies.Familiarity with common project management and knowledge management tools like JIRA and Confluence.Experience in leading without authority in a matrix management organization.Ability to earn and maintain trust of stakeholders.Experience proactively seeking accountability to driving outcomes and are developing new ways to show and visualize successes and failures to help our entire digital product group learn.Stakeholders in the business and within technology naturally seek you out given the trusted relationships you have built, but you have found ways to listen and also push back when appropriate.Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.Proactive nature in seeking accountability to drive outcomes, with an innovative approach to show and visualize successes and failures that help the digital product group advance.Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is ($110,000 - $150,000) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
