A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Sr. Compliance Engineer at Power Solutions, you will partner with Engineering, Internal Teams, Sales, Customers, to ensure product compliance (ex. develop, support, execute, sell, design, contribute, etc.). In this role, you will report to the Sr. Compliance Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:• Compliance testing including EMC, Safety, and SEMI evaluations• Trouble shooting and mitigation when failures occur• Test Plan and Test Report Generations• Prepare 3rd Party Submittal Packages• Compile Technical Construction Files (TCF)• Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:• Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent experience• 5 years of job-related work experience• Knowledge of world-wide regulatory requirements including UL, CSA, IEC/EN, FCC, CE, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, UKCA, SCIP, PFAS, Prop65, etc.
• Experience with CE Marking Directive, Safety and EMC directives, and others
• Experience with safety standard 61010-1, Basic EMC standard EN61000-4 Series, FCC Part 18
• Experienced with lab equipment and procedures (i.e., network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters & power supply, spectrum analyzer, EMC/EMI receiver, general lab equipment, DAQ system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment with design engineering and project management
Preferred Skills:• GMA Experiences for Global Market Access including CE, KC, UKCA, Japan, Taiwan BSMI, China, etc.• Motivated self-starter with attention to detail
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:• Works with computers and laboratory equipment, i.e. Oscilloscope, receivers, etc.• This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environments
