DescriptionResources for Human Development (RHD) Boston is now hiring a Director of Operations to join our team!

RHD Boston provides residential, day and individual programs to support men and women with developmental disabilities in the Greater Boston area. We are committed to providing supports for individuals that enhance their independence and personal choice.

Position SummaryThe Director of Operations works closely with the Director and serves as his/her designee. She/he, in conjunction with the Director, oversees major quality and functional systems throughout the agency and participates in the development of policies and procedures governing the agency. The Director of Operations exercises independent judgment within a broad framework of rules, regulations, and policies to assure that RHD meets all standards and regulatory requirements.Essential Duties and FunctionsCollects and reviews monthly property inspection reports from program managers. And Property ManagementConducts full site environmental surveys quarterly.Works with maintenance staff to identify and schedule maintenance repairs and improvements.Communicates on an ongoing basis with all Landlords.Schedules yearly program equipment inspection and documentation (heaters, furnaces, smoke detectors, CO2 detectors and fire extinguisher)Asset ManagementEstablishes/monitors policies and procedures around the maintenance of vehicles.Coordinate's purchase of new vehiclesReviews monthly reports from ARI on vehicle maintenance/fuel reportsWorks with Driving Safety Coordinator to ensure all accident-related matters are addressed.Client Fund ManagementChair's client fund committee - working to evaluate and establish policies and procedures.Oversees the monthly review of client funds system.Program oversightProvides training to managers.Oversees weekly Medication System checks - providing feedback to manager.Coordinates quarterly full system reviews.Reviews and files monthly documentation related to medication delivery.Provides system/ documentation training to managers.Submits yearly documentation to the State for the renewal of program MAP licenses.Prepares Emergency Evacuation Safety Plans (EESP's) bi-yearly and submits to the State for approval.Monitors fire drills conducted in the programs.Individual Services DocumentationConducts a full review of client records every six months (Medical and Confidential records)Provides regular feedback to managers on documentation expectations.Provides training to managers on documentation systems.Review's documentation related to all aspects of program functioning ensuring the agency meets the regulatory requirements and expectations of funders.Investigations -
