Purpose/Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Admission, Recruitment and Outreach Director is responsible for planning, managing, and evaluating the recruitment and admissions processes and activities for Auraria, Lowry, and the Advanced Manufacturing Center campuses as well as the High School Diploma Program. Directs the planning, execution and evaluation of promoting the college to the public for recruitment and relationship purposes. Provides leadership in promoting the programs, engaging with prospective students, strategic planning as it relates to a recruitment plan for the campuses and college, and managing staff to ensure the department achieves enrollment goals. The Director assures exemplary services and assistance are provided to engage prospective students with the college admissions process and builds and maintains effective community partnerships with local schools, organizations, and community partners. The Director will support and collaborate on the College strategic enrollment management plan to help elevate the College's Pathways initiatives and drive application and enrollment yield. Directs and manages information flow through various means to our prospective students and internal and external constituents. Directs the daily operations of the department, including staffing, training, and ongoing development of staff. Duties and Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES
Leadership and ManagementDevelop and implement strategic recruitment plans to achieve enrollment goals.Oversee the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes for the High School Diploma Program.Supervise and mentor recruitment and admissions staff, ensuring professional development and high performance.Establish and maintain effective communication between the recruitment and admissions team, and key internal stakeholders such as the academic advising department, the registrar's office, financial aid, and academic affairs.Monitor and analyze enrollment trends, providing reports and recommendations to leadership.Student Recruitment and Outreach
Determine best practices and write, implement, and maintain a recruitment plan that reflects College-wide priorities of student outreach and engagement.Comply with the System office regarding recruitment systems and policies and works closely with the Office of Registration & Records to determine standard operating procedures.Develop innovative recruiting strategies for new prospects and students who have stopped out.Manage strategy, direct activities, and evaluate outcomes of Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach efforts based on best practices through national leading organizations such as the American Association of Community Colleges, National Association for College Admission Counseling, Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, EAB, and others.Leads a team that will recruit and assist students with the enrollment process including application to CCD, navigation and completion of required admissions and enrollment-related forms, assist with advising and registration efforts, and financial aid and payments.Lead the admissions, recruitment, outreach, and enrollment efforts of special populations, such as but not limited to high school diploma, military-affiliated, International, Students of Color, First Generation, DACA and/or ASSET affiliated and non-US citizens, etc.Oversee and manage the Welcome Desk and its efforts, including tours to provide stellar customer service.Supervises grant navigators to achieve goals of individual grants, which lead to retention, persistence, and graduation of their caseloads.Manage Departmental budget in compliance with State of Colorado purchasing ethics and regulations. Initiate, evaluate, and authorize small purchase order requests. Use of State P-card for supplies purchases. Oversight of proper documenting and submission of mileage reimbursement requests.Develop, implement, and maintain the High School Diploma Program which includes the supervision of an Assistant Director.
Data and Compliance
Utilize student information systems and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to manage applicant data and track recruitment efforts.Pull, analyze, evaluate, and make suggestions on data for applications, enrollment conversions, and trends and report out to CCD leadership frequently.Prepares and submits reports to document departmental efforts towards goals, documented activities, or other information as requested.Ensure accuracy and timely collection and data entry and evaluation in relation to admissions, recruitment, and outreach documentation, such as events, inquiries, and enrollment funnel activities.Stay current on recruitment trends, and best practices for both traditional and non-traditional students.Ensure compliance with all college, state, and federal regulations related to high school diploma credentialing and college recruitment, admissions, and enrollment.
Onboarding, Belonging, and Student Success
Support CCD as a Guided Pathways College and participate in pathway initiatives with relation to onboarding and belonging in the student experience and culture.Participate in the creation and implementation of retention strategies that focus on student engagement and success.Responsible for continuous improvement of the online SOAR platform and increased usage and completion.Collaborates with other college stakeholders in the development of student communications plan for varying student populations.
Campus and Community Partnerships
Work with student services and academic support teams to ensure that students in the High School Diploma Program receive appropriate support.Leads and assists the department with planning and organizing recruitment and outreach events on and off campus.Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to promote the benefits, educational opportunities, campus resources and events, and scholarship opportunities at CCD.Develop and maintain relationships with program leaders and other internal stakeholders to cultivate and enrich efforts and outcomes related to admissions, recruitment, outreach, onboarding, and enrollment.Collaborate with and determine efforts on high school concurrent enrollment and High School Diploma Program completers to matriculate these student populations to as CCD college students.Support the Dean and the Vice President of Student Services with meeting the college's enrollment goals.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: (Required/Minimum)
Bachelor's degree and demonstrated experience in student-facing roles related to admissions, recruitment, student affairs, or higher education.Experience: (Required/Minimum)
Experience working with culturally and racially diverse populations, first-generation students, and low-income students.Experience in admissions counseling, advising, recruitment, or related experience in higher education.Supervisory experience.Event planning and implementation experience.Experience managing budgets.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: (Required/Minimum)
Relationship and collaboration experience to relate to students and families and collaborate with schools and community organizations and CCD internal stakeholders.Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent organizational ability to manage multiple projects and to work independently and in a team.Strong computer software skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite.Experience planning and implementing events.Experience utilizing data to set goals, progress to goals, and report development.Experience with student information systems such as Internet Native Banner, Self-Service Banner, Navigate, or Recruit/CRM systems.Commitment to student success and a passion for working with nontraditional students.Experience: (Preferred)
