Job Description:
LHH is hiring an Occupancy Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, CA! This role is perfect for someone who excels in customer service, has a solid understanding of leasing laws and tenant rights, and thrives in both independent and team settings. Youll be responsible for implementing leasing and occupancy policies, handling tenant interactions, and ensuring compliance with HUD, USDA, and other regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Implement all leasing and occupancy policies for housing programs in line with HUD, USDA, and other regulations
Perform move-in, annual, and interim recertifications for subsidy eligibility
Maintain tenant files in compliance with regulations
Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and ensure properties are well-maintained
Handle customer relationship tasks, including responding to inquiries and resolving conflicts
Monitor and enforce occupancy activities as required by policies
Assist with marketing efforts to attract new tenants
Act as a stand-in for the Administrative Assistant when needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Strong knowledge of leasing agreements, tenant rights, and fair housing laws
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on conflict management and relationship building
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in typing, filing, math, and computer software
Ability to conduct unit inspections and travel to seminars and trainings as needed
Drivers License (Required)
Ability to commute to Winchester, IL 62694 (Required)
