We are looking for a

Purchasing Manager

to join our team. The ideal candidate drives purchasing process control, purchasing strategy adherence, maintains integrity of planning data within the ERP system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish processes across purchasing team to effectively manage inventory levels while improving product turn metrics and,

customer order

fulfillment (serviceability) rates.Provides leadership to the supply team (Demand Planning, Procurement, and Inbound Transportation). Leads the team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Establish performance benchmarks and work with our suppliers through a scorecard system, allowing for more effective vendor management of 3rd party suppliers.Ensure that all "key suppliers" receive updated rolling forecasts.Ensure serviceability and delivery deadlines are met/exceeded. Ensure that all inbound delivery receipts for inbound freight and backorders are correctly communicated internally. The ability to negotiate for better pricing and buying terms are a must.Collaborate with Product Managers' efforts related to sourcing and life cycle management of 1,000's of SKUs across key product categories - gloves, clothing, eyewear, hearing protection and "other" - and general merchandise products to support correct inventory levels, forecasting and overall serviceability.Requirements

EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Supply Chain preferred.Five to seven years' experience in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management; with at least three years managing a team.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Planning, Procurement, and Inbound Transportation etc.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Inventory Management/Manage supply chain productivity and operational processes. Implement industry best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory, and vendor management.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
