The
HR Generalist
plays a pivotal role in supporting the full spectrum of human resources functions, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and continuous improvement. This position partners with leaders and teammates to address employee relations matters, drive engagement, and ensure smooth operations across HR processes. The HR Generalist is responsible for sourcing top talent, maintaining HR compliance, and contributing to key projects that enhance organizational efficiency. Additionally, the HR Generalist leads various initiatives related to performance management, employee engagement, and policy development, while also providing essential backup support for tasks like payroll processing, benefits administration, and workforce planning. By leveraging internal resources and fostering strong partnerships, the HR Generalist ensures alignment with company goals and contributes to a positive Orchid work culture.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Recruitment and Onboarding, Source, recruit, and screen candidates, scheduling interviews with top talent while collaborating with hiring leaders to ensure accurate job descriptions, maintaining talent pipelines, and fostering college partnerships. Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing consistent, quality communication throughout the hiring process. Contribute to internal and external recruiting initiatives by implementing standardized strategies for sourcing, interviewing, coordinating interviews, conducting reference and background checks, and facilitating offer negotiations. Coordinate with staffing agencies and manage the internship program to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Track and maintain key recruitment metrics such as time to fill, source of hire, and feedback from both candidates and internal stakeholders. Develop and standardize internal interview processes for leadership, including creating scorecards and delivering training for hiring managers. Assist with onboarding new teammates to ensure a smooth transition into the company. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal abilities. Able to build rapport and influence at all levels. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a proactive, results-oriented mindset. Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Integrity and Confidentiality: Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Knowledge of Employment Laws: Understanding of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC), ensuring compliance throughout HR processes. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and ATS, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively. WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Two plus years of proven experience in an HR Generalist, with a focus and passion on recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration. Previous experience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS) required. Familiarity with compensation analysis, workforce planning, and HR metrics (e.g., time to fill, source of hire) preferred. Experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a decentralized or multi-site organization, preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP designation preferred. WHAT WE OFFER:
