You'll work with interactive user applications and enterprise-grade solutions, utilizing Java and JBoss/Spring Boot technologies, all while being part of a vibrant software engineering community. You'll be part of a team that supports the SEAMS area – where we manage power flow between MISO and neighboring entities through custom applications and cutting-edge solutions.

Your Responsibilities as our Java Software Engineer include:
Work on high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, ensuring high performance and availability.
Partner with architects and other developers to create new software applications, working in an Agile environment.
Apply your creativity and technical skills to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for real-time challenges.
Stay ahead of the curve with a lifelong learner mindset, constantly improving your skills and knowledge.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience) with 1 to 5 years of experience.
Experience or coursework in Java, Spring Boot, or other relevant technologies is a plus.
Preferred experience with the following:
Angular
Docker / Kubernetes
Kafka or similar messaging/event frameworks
Behavioral Driven Development / Test Driven Development
JS/TS, HTML, CSS
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
