Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Compliance is responsible for coordination, implementation, continual monitoring and overseeing of the JHS Compliance Program to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulatory requirements, as well as contractual obligations, policies, and procedures. The incumbent may assist and act in a confidential capacity to help manage, formulate, determine and effectuate management process and polices. The incumbent may attend management meetings and may be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around confidential management decisions. Position requires exercise of independent judgment.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance to make improvements or take corrective action.Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs. Ability to establish goals and objectives.Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.Job Responsibilities:
Conducts reviews of designated PHT activities to ensure compliance with established industry practices and ensures that the JHS Compliance Program foster the highest ethical standards to meet or exceed established governmental standards.Responds and investigates all incidents of noncompliance and/or misconduct reported to the Compliance Department for assigned area.Conduct audit and monitoring activities for JHS and prepares reports summarizing audit findings, recommendations for improvement, and corrective actions.Develops and conducts Compliance education and training activities.Conducts research on specific issues relating to the JHS Corporate Compliance and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.Provides guidance for leaders to support the formulation of sound business practices that also meet regulatory requirements.Assists with revisions and development of compliance policies and procedures.Reviews medical director time logs for appropriateness of time recorded for which physicians are credited/compensated.Chairs assigned entities' compliance committees.Supports Medical Staff Coordinator/Business Development/Leadership to ensure new physician arrangements are compliant with laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute.Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Performs all other related job duties as assigned.Experience:
Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.Education
Bachelor's degree in related field is required. Master's Degree in related field is strongly preferred. JD highly preferred.
