Description

Summary

The PTS Project Director (PPD) provides leadership, planning, coordination, and administration for the PTS Disability Innovation Fund (DIF) Demonstration Project in order to achieve objectives set in terms of targets, budget, and quality. The PPD is organized, self-directed, and proactive, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. The PPD plays a key role in team coordination, risk management, problem solving, and communication with stakeholders, building constructive working relationships to support positive project results. The ideal candidate for this position has proven experience utilizing successful project management techniques, time management, budget management, data analysis, and collaboration across multiple teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Define project goals, objectives, milestones, and deadlines.

2. Maintain the coherence of the project by understanding how the needs and objectives of the project align with the organization and its mission.

3. Develop working knowledge of each department to optimize project objectives across the organization.

4. Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders and team members, maintaining open communication to support the progress of the project.

5. Manage resources, organize work, coordinate teams, and maintain project momentum, providing weekly updates to the COO.

6. Work in partnership with the Director of Employment Services to develop and execute the new services offered through the project, collaborating to meet project goals and target outputs.

7. Monitor project progress to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget, providing monthly and quarterly data to comply with requirements for grant reporting.

8. Collaborate with the Grant Manager to collect and analyze the data required for project evaluation and reporting.

9. Identify and assess risks and opportunities in collaboration with executive leadership to ensure project objectives are successfully met.

10. Collaborate with communications staff to implement the 5-year communication plan, update the website , and support outreach efforts.

11. Formalize contracts and agreements with consultants and other contractors, monitoring them to ensure compliance.

12. Ensure coordination and collaboration between various departments and teams, facilitating project implementation and monitoring outputs.

13. Manage changes and updates to the project in collaboration with executive leadership.

14. Provide analysis and recommendations to improve the project implementation and outcomes

15. Follow the project evaluation plan and coordinate with the independent evaluator to provide the data required.

16. Resolve issues and make decisions to ameliorate conflict that may threaten the success of the project.

17. Maintain confidentiality of information and materials at the highest standards.

18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in health, business, social science, or a closely related field preferred. The equivalent of at least 6 years of education and experience combined considered, managing large scale projects and teams. Project Management Certificate preferred. 2. Special Knowledge or Skills: Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and general knowledge of Windows based software. Experience with CRM software to manage data (Salesforce preferred). Excellent organizational skills, time management, analytical, and communication skills. Self-driven, able to work independently and with diverse teams.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of best practices for project management and reporting. Strong collaborator who builds positive working relationships to strengthen project implementation and drive results.

3.Experience: At least 3 years' experience managing complex projects to include: budget management, contract management, reporting, and team coordination. Experience with federal grant management preferred.

4.Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect supervision of teams in partnership with program directors to monitor progress toward project goals.

5.Physical: Good physical health and high energy levels. Able to effectively perform the specified duties. Some regional travel required.

7.Working Conditions: Office and industrial settings. Public venues. Some travel required across 30 parish region.

8.Work Schedule: Full-time / salaried.
